About these terms

These terms cover rubbish removal and clearance jobs booked with RLE Waste Clearance, the trading name of R.L.E CLEARANCE LTD. They apply once you agree a price with us and we start the job. Nothing in them takes away your legal rights as a consumer.

Prices and quotes

We price by load size: you pay for the space your waste takes up in the truck. Load prices run from £60 to £360, plus VAT. Loading by our two-person crew, transport and disposal are included, and loading time is built into each load price. Every load size is on our price list.

Heavy mixed builders waste, such as soil, rubble and hardcore, is £360 plus VAT for up to 15 cubic yards or 1,200kg. Some items cost extra on top of the load, such as fridges, TVs, mattresses and tyres. They are listed in the extra items table.

A price we give you from photos or a description is based on what they show, and it holds for 14 days. We confirm the price on the day before we start. If there's more or less waste than the photos showed, we tell you the new price first, and you can say no.

Prices are the same every day of the week and wherever we collect. We don't add a travel charge or tolls, and we don't pass on parking fees, parking fines or the congestion charge.

Paying

You pay when the job is finished, by card, cash, bank transfer or company cheque, and we give you a receipt and a waste transfer note. We don't take personal cheques.

Businesses can ask us to invoice them. Regular commercial customers can ask for an account, subject to credit checks. Payment terms for an account are agreed when it is opened.

What we can't take

We can't take chemicals, clinical waste or any other hazardous waste, apart from asbestos that has already been removed and that you've told us about before the job. We don't remove asbestos, and when we collect it we give you a hazardous waste consignment note. Tell us before the job if anything might be hazardous. If we find hazardous waste on the day, we leave it where it is and tell you.

We can turn down a job, or part of one, if the waste includes things we can't take or if it isn't safe to load.

Access and your part

Tell us about anything that affects the job when you book, such as stairs, a lift, a long carry, parking restrictions or heavy items. It lets us give you the right price.

You don't need to be home if access is clear and we know exactly what's going, for example waste left in a front garden or on a driveway, or a key safe arranged.

The waste must be yours to get rid of, or you must have the owner's permission. Check that we only take what you want gone. Once waste is loaded it goes for disposal, and we may not be able to get anything back.

Cancelling or moving a booking

You can cancel or move a booking at no charge before we start. Tell us by phone, WhatsApp or email as early as you can.

If you are a consumer and you booked with us away from our premises, for example by phone, online or at your home, the law gives you 14 days to cancel. If you ask us to do the job inside those 14 days, you can still cancel, but you pay for any work we have done up to that point. Once the job is finished, the right to cancel ends.

If something goes wrong

We do the work with reasonable care and skill. If you're not happy with something, tell us as soon as you can on 020 8611 2586 or at contact@rleclearance.co.uk so we can look at it.

If something outside our control stops us coming, such as a vehicle breakdown or severe weather, we'll tell you as soon as we can and offer another date.

The law that applies

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales can deal with any dispute.

We may update these terms. The version on this page when you book is the one that applies to your job.
