What does bathroom rip out waste removal cost?
Bathroom rip out waste removal with RLE Waste Clearance costs from £60 plus VAT for a few bags up to £360 plus VAT for a full truck of 15 cubic yards, across 13 sizes. A bath, basin, toilet, boxing and panels are fairly light for their size and go on these normal load prices.
Old kitchen units and worktops are priced the same way. Tiles, plaster, screed and rubble are a different story: when most of the load is heavy waste like that, it's priced at £360 plus VAT for up to 15 cubic yards or 1,200kg. Labour, loading, transport and disposal are included either way. Send a photo of the waste and your postcode to 07534 244774, and the price is confirmed before we start.

We remove the waste once it's out. Disconnecting plumbing, gas or electrics is a job for your plumber, gas engineer or electrician. Asbestos can turn up in some older floor tiles and textured ceilings, and we can collect it once it has been removed if you tell us about it first. We don't remove asbestos ourselves.
Who takes the old kitchen or bathroom out?
Your fitter, or you, takes the old kitchen or bathroom out, and our crew takes the waste away. The crew carries the bath, units, tiles and boards from wherever they've been stacked, down the stairs and out to the truck. Have the water, gas and electrics disconnected and made safe by the right trade before we arrive.
Bathroom rip out waste removal works for a weekend DIY job as well as a fitter's. Book a collection for when the old room is out, or for the end of the job, when the last offcuts and packaging need to go.
When do tiles and rubble go on the heavy load?
Tiles and rubble go on the heavy load when most of the load is dense waste like that. Ceramic tiles, plaster, screed and broken brick are heavy, so a few bags weigh far more than they look. A load that's mostly heavy waste is £360 plus VAT for up to 15 cubic yards or 1,200kg. Bag the rubble if you can, as that makes it quicker to load, and tell us roughly how many bags there are. Our rubble removal page explains how the heavy load works.
A whole bathroom is far more than the small free DIY allowance at council tips, so one collection takes it in a single trip. Bigger renovations are covered on our builders' waste removal page.

How does it work for kitchen and bathroom fitters?
Kitchen and bathroom fitters can hand us the old room, which keeps the van free for tools and materials. You don't need to wait on site with us. Point us to the waste, and pay on completion by card, bank transfer or company cheque, with a waste transfer note and a receipt for the job file. Regular trade customers can apply for a commercial account, subject to credit checks.
We're an upper tier registered waste carrier, broker and dealer, CBDU175566, which your customer can check on the Environment Agency register (external site) or the gov.uk carrier check (external site). We collect bathroom rip out waste across Chislehurst, Bromley, Lewisham and nearby, and never pass on parking fees or the congestion charge.
How do I get ready for the collection?
Getting ready takes a few minutes, and it keeps loading time down.
- Stack the waste in one place, inside or out, where we can carry it to the road
- Keep plasterboard in its own pile, separate from the tiles, rubble and everything else
- Bag loose tiles and rubble in sacks one person can lift
- Keep any old floor tiles or textured ceiling pieces that might contain asbestos separate, and have them tested
- Tell us about stairs, a lift or a long carry when you send photos
Loading time is built into each load price. Extra labour beyond the included time is £30 plus VAT per 30 minutes.

RLE Waste Clearance takes the kitchen waste away once the old kitchen is out, and the crew doesn't do the rip out itself. Disconnecting plumbing, gas and electrics is a job for a qualified plumber, gas engineer or electrician, so have that done first. Once the units, worktops and sink are stacked, the crew carries them to the truck and takes them away.
Whether your kitchen fitter takes the old kitchen away depends on their quote, so check it before you book anyone else. If it isn't included, you or the fitter can book us to collect the old units, worktops and appliances once they're out. Fitters can hand us the old kitchen to keep their van free, and pay by card, bank transfer or company cheque.
The old cooker, dishwasher and washing machine go in the same load as the kitchen, priced by the space they take, though a range cooker is £50 plus VAT. A fridge or fridge freezer is £60 plus VAT on top of the load, and an American fridge freezer £90 plus VAT, as listed under extra items. A gas cooker needs disconnecting by a Gas Safe registered engineer before we arrive.
Tiles, rubble, timber, old units and general waste can all go in the same load, so a mixed rip-out doesn't need sorting. Plasterboard is the exception: it's taken, but keep it separate from the rest. If most of the load is tiles, plaster and rubble, RLE Waste Clearance prices it as the heavy load, £360 plus VAT for up to 15 cubic yards or 1,200kg.
An old cast iron bath goes with the rest of the bathroom rip out waste, priced by the space the load takes. Cast iron baths are heavy and awkward, so mention it when you send photos and tell us about any stairs between the bathroom and the front door. The two-person crew carries it out, and extra labour is only charged if the job runs past the loading time included.
Rip-out waste can be collected from a flat with no lift, because two people carry everything down the stairs. Loading time is built into the price, and if a job takes longer than the time included, extra labour is £30 plus VAT per 30 minutes, agreed before we start. Tell us the floor when you send photos so the price reflects the carry.
Kitchen or bathroom rip-out waste can be collected 7am to 7pm, seven days a week, on a day that suits you and your fitter, and if you book before 12pm the job's done the same day. You can book for the day the old room comes out, or for the end of the job when the last offcuts and packaging need to go. Send photos on WhatsApp and the day is agreed when the price is confirmed.
You don't need to be home for a kitchen or bathroom waste collection if the crew can reach the waste, for example on a front garden, a driveway or through a key safe. If your fitter is on site, they can show the crew where it's stacked. The price is agreed on WhatsApp or by phone before we start, and you pay on completion.
