Who we are

RLE Waste Clearance is the trading name of R.L.E CLEARANCE LTD, company number 10726752, registered in England and Wales. We decide how the personal details you give us are used, which makes us the data controller under UK data protection law.

What we collect

When you ask for a price or book a job, we collect what you give us:

• Your name, phone number and, if you give it, your email address
• Your postcode, and the address of the job when you book
• What needs clearing, roughly how much there is, when you need it done and anything else you tell us about the job
• Photos you send us on WhatsApp or by email
• The best time to call you, if you pick one on the contact page
• A record of what you paid and how

When you visit the website, our hosting provider records technical details such as your IP address, your browser and the pages requested. If you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics also records how you use the site. The cookie policy has the details.

How we use it, and the legal basis

We use your details for these purposes only:

• To reply to your enquiry and give you a price, as a step you asked us to take before a contract
• To do the job, take payment and give you a receipt, to carry out our contract with you
• To keep the business records the law requires, such as accounts and the records a waste carrier must keep
• To keep the website running and secure using hosting logs, which is in our legitimate interests
• To see how people use the website with Google Analytics, only if you consent

Who we share it with

We use these services to run the business and the website:

• FormSubmit (external site), which delivers the quote form to our email inbox
• WhatsApp, run by Meta, if you message us there. WhatsApp's own privacy policy covers how it handles your messages
• Our email provider, for emails and form enquiries
• Cloudflare, which hosts this website
• Google, for Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager, only if you accept analytics cookies

We also share details where the law requires us to. Some of these services store or process data outside the UK, including in the United States.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry details for as long as we need them to deal with your enquiry and any job that follows. Job and payment records are kept for as long as the law requires for tax and waste records, then deleted.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask us to:

• Give you a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Correct anything that is wrong
• Delete your data, where we don't have to keep it
• Limit how we use it, or stop using it
• Send it to you or to another organisation in a usable format

Where we rely on your consent, as with analytics cookies, you can withdraw it at any time. Email contact@rleclearance.co.uk to use any of these rights, and we will reply within one month.

Complaints

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, tell us first at contact@rleclearance.co.uk. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (external site), the UK data protection regulator.

Changes to this policy

We will update this policy if the way we use personal data changes. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
